These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, govern your use of Acne Fix. Please read them carefully, especially the medical disclaimer and subscription terms below.
1. Agreement & eligibility
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Ralfs Jansons (Latvia) governing your use of the Acne Fix app and the acnefix.app website. By downloading, accessing, or using Acne Fix, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. License
We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to download and use Acne Fix on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use and subject to these Terms.
3. Medical disclaimer

Acne Fix is NOT a medical device and does NOT provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. All content, AI Skin Scores, and routine recommendations are for general informational and educational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified dermatologist or physician.
Never disregard or delay seeking professional medical advice because of something you have read or seen in the app. Do not start or stop any medication (including prescription acne treatments) based on the app. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact a doctor or emergency services immediately. Results vary and are not guaranteed.
4. AI features
Acne Fix uses automated AI (Google Gemini) to analyze your photos and answers. AI outputs are automatically generated, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and must not be relied upon as medical fact. See our Privacy Policy for how this processing works.
5. User content
You are responsible for the photos and answers you provide. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to deliver the Service (see the Privacy Policy). Do not upload images of other people without their consent, and do not upload unlawful or infringing content.
6. Subscriptions & payments
Acne Fix offers “Acne Fix Pro,” an auto-renewable subscription billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account. The following terms apply:
- Payment is charged to your store account on confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews for the same period at the then-current price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- Where a free trial is offered, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where applicable.
- Prices may vary by region and may change over time; we will seek your consent for price increases where required by law.
- Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies. We do not process store payments and generally cannot issue refunds directly. If you are an EU/EEA consumer, you may have a statutory right of withdrawal; in any case your mandatory statutory consumer rights are unaffected by these Terms.
For iOS downloads, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (standard EULA) applies in addition to these Terms. Apple and Google are third-party beneficiaries of the app-store distribution terms and may enforce them against you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service: do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code; do not interfere with or disrupt the Service; do not use it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
The Acne Fix app, its brand and logo, and all associated content (excluding content you provide) are owned by Ralfs Jansons and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you no ownership rights.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, and our liability for any claim arising from the Service is limited to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited or excluded under the mandatory law of Latvia or the European Union, including your statutory consumer-protection rights.
10. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including Google (Gemini AI and Google Play), Supabase, Apple, RevenueCat, PostHog, Open-Meteo, Amazon Associates, and Open Beauty Facts. Their own terms and policies apply to their services. Some product links are Amazon Associates affiliate links, and we may earn a commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where required by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g. intellectual property, disclaimers, and governing law) will continue to apply.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Latvia. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your country of residence within the EU/EEA.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
